Today is my due date. Back in April when we found out I was pregnant, December seemed like a lifetime away. And in some ways it was. So many thing transpired over the next few months. Surgery, birthdays, vacations, hospitalizations, travel for Jose's job, holidays and the general day to to day things that make up life.
And here we are today with a nearly 8 pound, 3 week old beauty to love and cuddle. It's actually nice that she made an unscheduled, early appearance. I am now 3 weeks post op instead of just a few days. And we have had 3 weeks to get to know her little personality. So far, we think she the peaceful one, as her name describes. She is content nearly all the time and only cries when she is hungry or naked. She loves to be cuddled and her favorite way to sleep is leaning against your chest. She curls up and sleeps very soundly when she is held like that. She will occasionally fuss when she is moved from this position and laid down in her crib. I think she would much rather be held, which is a departure from how Sofia was. She was independent from day one and has never been much of a cuddler.
So, this Christmas we are definitely counting our blessings. We have 2 beautiful little girls of our own, plus Emily and Garrett here to share the holidays with us. It has been a busy season, but a very full one. We are blessed.

So glad that all is well in your house and that you are surrounded by loving family. I hope that my daughhter likes to cuddle as much as yours, and I can't wait for the photos!
